Position Overview:

EHM Senior Solutions is eager to welcome a new Floor Care Technician to join in the continued mission and growth of Evangelical Home – Sterling Heights. Under the supervision of the Environmental Services Supervisor, the new Floor Care Technician will be responsible for maintaining the floors, facility, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current applicable federal, state and facility standards, guidelines and regulations to assure that a successful maintenance program is maintained at all times.

Job Duties for the Floor Care Technician include, but are not limited to:

  • Preventative maintenance and janitorial tasks including floor care and the overall sanitation for the Sterling Heights campus.
  • Coordinate daily floor care services with other facility departments when performing routine assignments in resident living areas.
  • Floor care includes sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, disinfecting, waxing, polishing, and provides additional support to the Director of Environmental Services as needed.
  • Follow established policies governing the use/disposal of personal protective equipment and disposal of infectious wastes.

Qualifications and Requirements for the Floor Care Technician include, but are not limited to:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience in housekeeping, janitorial or environmental services is required.
  • Healthcare or building cleaning experience is preferred but not necessary.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including active listening.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong ability to effectively work with others.
